NEWSLETTER AUGUST 2017
CONGRATULATIONS to Marloes and Robin van der Velden and Little Flynn on the birth of his baby brother Aleck who was born on 7th July 2017. We wish this young family joy and happiness with their new bundle of love.
School Holiday and Public Holiday
Please remember that the school will be closed for one week from the 7th to 11th August for a short break. We re-open on Monday the 14th August. We wish the children and teachers a well-deserved rest. The private 3 term schools close on the 4th August and return on the 5th September.
Our Pyjama day was a great success. Thank you, for allowing your child to come to school in their Pyjamas, the children thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The day was spent playing on the soft play, watching a movie and drinking hot chocolate. The Grade R Children were spoilt with a jumping castle and their face’s being painted to celebrate Busiswa’s 5th birthday.
Pirate Dress-up Day – 25 August
To coincide with our Pirate theme on Friday 25th August all the children must please come to school dressed as pirates. We will be entertaining the children with a treasure hunt and other fun pirate games and activities.
On Friday 1st September we would love all the children to dress up in colourful spring colours and to bring lots of flowers to school, to celebrate the beginning of spring. Hooray winter is almost over!
Our school concert will be held on Saturday 14th October 9:30 – 11:00 so please take note of this date. The concert is a very special event for the children and they have already started practising. We have a tremendous spirit amongst the children from babies to grade R’s and we would like to showcase the unity and friendship amongst all our children.
Kyalami Ridge Staff would like to send our sincere condolences to Teacher Lorna on the passing of her mom. Our prayers and thoughts are with teacher Lorna.
