Dear parents


Valentine’s Day

Thank you to all the children who dressed in Red and brought red hearts to school on Valentines Day.  The children had so much fun swapping their hearts amongst each other.  


Family Fun Day

We are going to try again….  Our Family Fun Day has been rescheduled to this Saturday 4 March 9am to 11am. Hopefully it will be a lovely sunny day.   



All the teachers and assistants have updated their Basic CPR Course.  The Training was done on Saturday 18 February, with the SRQ Academy of Emergency Care.



Hearing Screening and Speech Screening - Tuesday 7 March

‘The sense of hearing is vital for speech, language, social, emotional and educational development.  Early identification and treatment of hearing impairment is imperative in order to prevent learning difficulties’ that could occur.

On Tuesday 7 March Audiologist Tamsin Geddes will be screening the children’s hearing.  The cost is R90. This amount will be taken from the 1st term class fund.    Please see the indemnity form attached, complete and return it to the school on or before Monday 6 March.

Grandparent’s day – Wednesday 15 March (Not for Parents)

This special day is for the grandparents only OR an adult special person in the child’s life.  An invitation will be sent home with your child, please return the RSVP slips by Friday 10 March for catering purposes.  The children will be showing off what they do at school as well as entertaining the grandparents.

Farm Animals Puppet Show – Monday 6 March

Ann Parker will once again be entertaining the children with an educational puppet show based on Farm Animals.


Human Rights Day

Please note that the school will be closed on the Monday 20 March as well as Tuesday the 21 March for Human Rights Day.     This gives the teachers and children an opportunity to have a short break during the busy school term.   


Autumn is approaching and so is the cooler weather

While temperatures still climb in the day, the morning and afternoons are chilly, please start dressing your child in layers to help them be comfortable in all sorts of weather.
