March Newsletter 2018

Dear parents

for the previous month of February...

Family fun day

Thank you to all those who attended our Family Fun day.  We have upload some on facebook photos here.

Valentine’s Day

Thank you to all the children and staff for the wonderful birthday surprise on the 14 February. The card and birthday wishes from the children were so sweet and it really touched my heart.

Grandparents day – Wednesday 7 March (Not for Parents)

This special day is for the grandparents only OR an adult special person in the child’s life.  Invitations have been sent home with your child, please RSVP so we have an idea of who is attending.    The children will be showing off what they do at school as well as entertaining the grandparents.  William from Tangonastics our gymnastics instructor will be doing a class with the children.

The time is from 9:30 to 11:30. Please remember to bring a picnic basket along.  Some children do not have the privilege of having their grandparents close by so we appeal to the other grannies and grandpas to share their picnic basket with your grandchild’s little friend.

After the morning grandparents are welcome to take their grandchild home with them if they so wish.

Human Rights Day

Please note that the school will be closed on the Wednesday 21st March for Human Rights Day.

How time has flown, at the end of March its Easter.  The school will be closed on Good Friday - 30 March and Easter Monday – 2 April (Family Day)

The Easter bunny will be visiting the school on Wednesday evening so when the children arrive at school on Thursday there will be a surprise for them. Please play along with the surprise to help make it an exciting event.   Later in the morning the children will engage in an Easter egg hunt.

It is going to be a fun and exciting morning.  Any parents who feel that they do not want their child to engage in the Easter hunt please inform your child’s class teacher.

Our school ethics is to respect all beliefs.  We try to teach the children respect, conservation, appreciation for all living creatures (Human and Animal) and the expression of Love, Harmony, Hopefulness and Joyfulness.

Please make a note of the following dates that the school will be closed for a short holiday.

From Monday 23 April and re-open Wednesday 2 May

27 April is Freedom Day and 1 May is Workers Day. Both days are public holidays.

Autumn is approaching and so is the cooler weather

While temperatures still climb in the day, the morning and afternoons are chilly, please start dressing your child in layers to help them be comfortable in all sorts of weather.

Thought for the month

Blessed are those who snuggle and hug.

Spoil and pamper.

Boast and brag…

For they shall be called
